Yuta Fuji

Yuta Fuji (不二裕太 Fuji Yūta) is a fictional character from the anime and manga series titled The Prince of Tennis. His name is romanized as Fuji Yuuta in the Japanese anime, and Yuta Fuji in the English translation of the manga. Yuuta Fuji is a second year at St. Rudolph Gakuen (私立聖ルドルフ学院中学校).

Yuuta is the younger brother of Fuji Shusuke, who always looked out for him while they were younger. Yuuta was originally a student at Seigaku, the same school his brother attended, however while he was there, he was constantly living in the Shadow of his older brother, and people began referring to him as 'Fuji's Younger Brother'. Because of that, Yuuta didn't join the tennis club during his semester there. However, it was during this period of time that Yuuta went to a private school to learn tennis, and also began resenting his older brother. While there, he was introduced to Hajime Mizuki, the manager for the St. Rudolph team. Mizuki convinced Yuuta to transfer to St. Rudolph.

In order to make a name for himself, Yuuta decided that it was best to leave and find somewhere else where he would be known for being Fuji Yuuta. He managed to make a name for himself as the Lefty-Killer.

[edit] Twist Spin Shot

A more advanced version of the Twist Shot. This shot is hit as a return, not a serve, and it has incredible bounce. Mizuki taught this shot to Yuuta when he joined the tennis club. The Twist Spin Shot causes great strain to the shoulder if the skeletal structure hasn't fully matured.

By hitting the ball before it bounces to its highest point, Yuuta makes it seem as if the ball is being returned the instant its hit.

In the anime, Fuji Yuuta's seiyū (voice actor) is Tomita Makoto, who made a special guest appearance in Tenipuri Perfect Live.
In The Prince of Tennis Musicals, Yuuta was portrayed by KENN, and he has starred in
