Zortic is a science fiction webcomic by Mark Mekkes about a green martian, a purple maiden and an odd-ball mechanic. They travel space (and occasionally time) on the Entire Prize, making a parody out of any subject they can.
Zortic has twice crossed-over with Melonpool and is "responsible" for the restoration of the Melonpool archives in March 2006.
Though other characters exist, the strip centres around the relationship between its three main characters.

Zortic is the ultimate hero of the story. His fun loving attitude towards adventure comes from a life of watching too many television and movie signals projected from a small planet called Earth. Fortunately his knowledge of television trivia finally works to his advantage when he enters a game show where he wins the grand prize (see: Entire Prize below).

Zoie is Zortic's girlfriend. Being the only one of the crew with military experience, she knows how to handle the "big guns". While tending to be a bit more aggressive than her shipmates, their fun loving attitude towards danger cannot help but rub off on her to some extent.

Splink is one of those hidden extras that just happens to come along with the ship, the Entire Prize. He is a combination ship mechanic, mystic and native guide. While his powers and skills often seem obscure and twisted, he has been an irreplaceable.
Splink is Ralph (and thus Ralphie) Zinobop's older half brother, exiled in infancy, and rightful heir to the Zinoboppian throne in the Melonpool webcomic, though he has no interest in it.
[edit] The Entire Prize
The Entire Prize is a pleasure cruiser designed for deep space travel. It comfortably sleeps three, but can transport up to 9 passengers. It received its name due to the fact that Zortic won it on a game show ("That's the Entire Prize?!").
In terms of shape, it looks like a waffle with fins. As a pleasure cruiser, it has no weapons of any sort. On one occasion, Zortic and Zoie had to don space suits and stand on the deck with rifles.
