Harlan Ellison

Harlan Jay Ellison (ur. 27 maja, 1934) to amerykański pisarz, krytyk, wydawca i selekcjoner antologii fantastycznych, z których najbardziej znaną są wielokrotnie nagradzane Niebezpieczne wizje. Był również autorem scenariuszy do serialu Star Trek i Po tamtej stronie oraz konsultantem przy serialach Strefa mroku (wersja z lat 80.) i Babilon 5.
Większość twórczości Ellisona to utwory science fiction, za które zdobył liczne nagrody Hugo i Nebula. Aktywnie działa również w fandomie (założył Cleveland Science Fiction Society i jako nastolatek redagował fanzin), a także bywa na konwentach fanowskich. Sam Ellison nie przepada jednak za tą etykietką i wyjaśnia, że jego twórczość bliższa jest surrealistycznej fantasy lub realizmowi magicznemu niż twardej sf.
