Load - szósty studyjny album zespołu Metallica. Został wydany 3 czerwca 1996 r. Początkowo miało to być dwupłytowe wydawnictwo, jednak w wyniku ogromu materiału zespół postanowił rozłożyć materiał na dwa albumy. Utwory z tej sesji, które nie znalazły się na albumie, ukazały się rok później na Reload.

Load (Ładuj) był długo oczekiwanym albumem grupy Metallica, wydanym pięć lat po ostatniej płycie Metallica. Był wielkim zaskoczeniem dla fanów. Zaskakujące było wszystko: styl i klimat, który raczej nie pasował do wcześniejszych dokonań grupy. Wiele utworów z płyty zostało wydanych na singlach. Pomimo zarzutów o komercjalizację wiele osób uważa ten album za duże osiągnięcie. Płyta w pierwszym tygodniu od premiery tylko w Stanach Zjednoczonych sprzedała się nakładem 1,4 mln sztuk.
