- Tony Cloninger is the only pitcher on the list. Late in the game, the #8 hitter for the Braves came to bat with two men on base. He struck out, to the boos of the hometown Giants' fans. Conceivably, if the #8 hitter had got on base without driving in a run, Cloninger would have had a chance for a third grand slam.
- Fernando Tatis is the only player to hit his grand slams during the same inning. Both were off pitcher Chan Ho Park
- Tony Lazzeri, Jim Tabor, Jim Gentile and Robin Ventura belted their slams in consecutive innings.
- Bill Mueller is the only player to hit his slams from opposite sides of the plate.
- Jim Northrup hit his slams in consecutive at-bats.
- Robin Ventura, who hit two grand slams in one game with the White Sox in 1995, later became the only player to hit a grand slam in each game of a doubleheader while playing for the Mets on May 20, 1999.
