Crichton College

Crichton College is a private Christian college located in Memphis, Tennessee.

The college is accredited by the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools (SACS). In June 2006, SACS reviewed the college gave it a one year warning.[1] The report concluded, "Crichton College was placed on Warning because the Commission determined that it failed to demonstrate compliance with Core Requirement 2.5 (Institutional Effectiveness) of the Principles of Accreditation—the accreditation standards of the Commission. This standard expects an accredited institution to provide evidence that it engages in ongoing, integrated, and institution-wide research-based planning and evaluation processes that incorporate a systematic review of programs and services that results in continuing improvement and demonstrates that the institution is effectively accomplishing its mission."[2]
