Crowz
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Crowz is an album by the band Slipknot that was never released. It contained a mixture of new material and remakes of Mate.Feed.Kill.Repeat songs, with Corey Taylor (the band's new singer at the time) on vocals instead of Anders Colsfini. It was based on a strange happening with a murder of crows and a dead crow in a jar.
Crowz (as stated) was never released, but instead the self titled album was released, with a lot of the tracks which were meant to be on Crowz.

[edit] How Crowz Got its Name
Corey Taylor states this about the album:
"Crowz refers to a saying we started which started following a spooky incident when we where taking Paul home after a studio session, and the road his place was on was covered entirely with crows. Thousands upon thousands of them. When the headlights flashed over them, they all took to the trees as one big, black mass. It was eerie. Then, they all sat in the trees and phone lines watching us. That's where Crowz came from. Plus, Shawn found a dead one in his driveway, and kept it in a big, commercial pickle jar, and carried it around at shows until it turned to mush. During shows Shawn would open the jar, and this would cause him to vomit all over the place and also cause fans to start vomiting all over the place. It was sick, it was kept in the jar with all the bacteria and flesh-eating creatures. It started secreting this brown liquid and became a fine sauce. Some kids broke the jar open and played catch with it for awhile but we disposed of it."
