KOLR is the CBS affiliate for Springfield, Missouri and the Ozarks region. The Mission Broadcasting outlet operates at analog channel 10 and digital channel 52. Its transmitter is located near Fordland, MO.
[edit] History
The station signed on the air in March 1953 as KTTS-TV and was the sister station to KTTS-AM & FM. By the 1960s they would change owners and call letters to KOLR to reflect the station's conversion to color as TV shows and sets were moving away from black & white. They also shared a secondary ABC affiliation with KYTV until 1967 when KMTC signed on. KMTC would later end up becoming KOLR's sister station, Fox affiliate KSFX.
