Lightmoor junction
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Lightmoor junction is a railway junction between Ironbridge Power Station at Buildwas and Madeley junction in Shropshire, England. Lightmoor junction signal box currently controls the junction between the double track section towards Ironbridge Power Station and the single track section towards Madeley junction.
The signal box formerly controlled access to and from another line that went to Wellington via Doseley and Horsehay.
The Telford Steam Railway use a portion of the line that went to Wellington and hope to use this signalbox as part of their heritage railway when this signalbox is taken out of use (2006/2007) during a phase of the resignalling scheme between Wolverhampton and Wellington.
