Matt Lepsis (born January 13, 1974) is a current American football ninth year veteran who plays left tackle, but has experience at both tackle positions, for the Denver Broncos in the National Football League. He was part of the Broncos Super Bowl XXXII team.
Lepsis was born in Conroe, Texas. He was an All-Southwest selection at Frisco High School in Frisco, Texas, where he was Class 3A Defensive Player of the Year and a two-time state discus champion. He also was a member of the National Honor Society in high school and majored in history at Colorado.
Lepsis went to the University of Colorado, where he earned All-Big Eight Conference honors as a tight end, before going to the NFL were he would be signed as an undrafted free agent in 1997 by the Denver Broncos. He did not miss an offensive snap on a 2004 line that set a franchise record by allowing only 15 sacks, shattering the previous best of 22 sacks set in 1971, to rank third in the NFL.
In 2004 he and his wife, Shana, had their first child, Hayden Lepsis, and the family currently resides in Castle Rock, Colorado. In Week 7 of the 2006 season, he suffered a season-ending knee injury in a 17-7 victory over the Cleveland Browns.
