Omegna is a comune (municipality) in the Province of Verbano-Cusio-Ossola in the Italian region Piedmont, located about 100 km northeast of Turin and about 13 km southwest of Verbania. As of 31 December 2004, it had a population of 15,910 and an area of 30.8 km2.[1]
The municipality of Omegna contains the frazioni (subdivisions, mainly villages and hamlets) Bagnella, Borca, Crusinallo, Cireggio, Santa Rita, S. Fermo, Agrano, Gattugno, and Sant'Anna.
Omegna borders the following municipalities: Armeno, Casale Corte Cerro, Germagno, Gignese, Gravellona Toce, Nonio, Pettenasco, Quarna Sopra, Quarna Sotto, Stresa.
