Parkland Region, Manitoba

Parkland is the name given to a region in the Canadian province of Manitoba. It is located in the western part of the province, lying between Lake Manitoba/Lake Winnipegosis and the Manitoba/Saskatchewan border. The region is comprised of three of Statistics Canada's census divisions of Canada: Manitoba Census Divisions No. 16, No. 17, and No. 20, which together have a land area of 28,209.93 kmĀ² (10,891.91 sq mi) and a population of 44,253 (2001 census). The largest population centre is the city of Dauphin. The second largest is the town of Swan River.
