Slovakia has participated in the Eurovision Song Contest three times, debuting in 1994 and leaving the contest in 1998. In the three contests Slovakia had a best position of 18th, and was forced to miss a year after each contest. The country opted to not return for the 2000 contest but is considering a participation in 2007.
