Subomie (スボミー Subomī?) are one of the 493 fictional species of Pokémon creatures from the multi-billion-dollar[1] Pokémon media franchise – a collection of video games, anime, manga, books, trading cards and other media, created by Satoshi Tajiri. Subomī is famous for being one of the Pokémon revealed before the Japanese release of Pokémon Diamond and Pearl. The purpose of Subomī in the games, anime and manga, as with all other Pokémon, is to battle both wild Pokémon, untamed creatures encountered while the player passes through various environments, and tamed Pokémon owned by Pokémon trainers.[2]
The name Subomī comes from the word 蕾 (tsubomi, flower bud). (Compare with Bellsprout's Japanese name.) Subomī resembles a rose bud, hence its classification. Subomi resembles a rose bud, their head held in place by a vine that twists slighty above its head to give the impression of a closed bud. The name Subomī refers to the species as a whole, as well as individual specimens in the games, anime and manga.

[edit] Biological characteristics
In the cold of winter the bud closes tightly, and when spring comes it opens and disperses pollen. It is a Poison type, so those who are enchanted by its appearance are punished painfully. It evolves into Roselia, who is also a Grass/Poison type.
[edit] In the Pokémon video games
Subomī are one of new Pokémon to have made their first appearance in Pokémon Diamond and Pearl for the Nintendo DS. Subomī, like most baby Pokémon, are obtainable in the wild. Though you can breed them if you have the Flower Incense item attached to Roselia. [3]
Subomī evolve into Roselia by achieving a high level of happiness, and levelling up during the day period. Roselia then evolve into Rozureido, by bringing it into contact with a Light Stone.[4]
