Having taken some time out I've made the decision not to be hounded out by the obnoxious and unpleasant behaviour of one specific user. Many of the editors in my sphere of interest are entirely reasonable and constructive in their approach, and the value of their contributions should not be degraded by vocally disruptive minority.

Despite that we should appreciate that each editor has something to offer, whether detailed understanding, the contribution of direction and substantive material, detailed formatting and language optimisation etc.

[edit] Wiki-Philosophy

Wikipedia provides an opportunity for an extremely useful resource, however that value is subject to the willingness of editors to put aside their own views and consider articles in a dispassionate and clinical manner. That willingness to let go of attachments to topics and to the work we have put in can become a challenge and has the potential to lead us into conflict. It is up to each editor to recognise and observe that potential for conflict, and to let the conflict go, flow over us and let it slip away, observed and nothing more.

Letting go is a challenge, some manage ot better than others. We should seek to help others to let go of their attachments.
