European Cup 1979-80

The season 1979-80 of the European Cup football club tournament was won by defending champions Nottingham Forest F.C. in the final against Hamburger SV. The winning goal was scored by John Neilson Robertson, who drilled the ball into the corner of the Hamburg net from outside the penalty area. Forest became the first side to win the European Cup more times than their domestic league.
