Scouting in Snowdonia and Anglesey

Snowdonia and Anglesey is a Scout Area of the Welsh Scouting Sgowtiaid Cymru branch of the Scout Association in Wales covering the regions of Snowdonia and the Isle of Anglesey. It is organised in five Scout Districts:-
There are 31 Groups. Three of the Districts currently have Explorer Scout Units. There is a Scout Network Unit.
Bangor University Scouts & Guides, affiliated to SSAGO, is situated in this area.
The Welsh Scout Council also maintains the two Welsh headquarters sites in Snowdonia: Hafod - the specialist Mountain traning centre situated in the glacial Ogwen Valley and Cornel, a large camping and indoor accommodation site situated on the banks of Lyn Crafnant, high above the Conwy Valley. Both of these facilities are available to all youth organisations.
[edit] 3rd Colwyn Bay (Old Colwyn) Scout Group
The 3rd Old Colwyn Scout Group has three Sections, Beavers, Cubs and Scouts, each containing over 20 members, and the Group committee, consisting of 12 parents and friends of the group. The Committee organizes fundraising and other events for the group. The Group is based in their headquarters on Beach Road, in Old Colwyn, in the Scout District of Conwy, Wales.
