[edit] Structure
Tooth & Nail contains multiple sublabels, each catering to a different genre of music.
- BEC Recordings features mainstream contemporary Christian music artists
- Solid State Records distributes metal and hardcore
- Uprok Records was for Christian Rap/Hip-Hop but does not exist anymore
- Plastiq Musiq (founded by Ronnie Martin of Joy Electric) is for primarily electronic music, though there have been a few exceptions (Pilots Vs. Aeroplanes) - Plastiq Musiq is no longer a part of the Tooth And Nail empire nor owned or operated by Martin.
The label acquired Takehold Records, an independent record label, in 2002. Tooth & Nail is now part of the EMI Christian Music Group.
